1930 Ford Model A Roadster

By 1928, after 19 years of production with only minor mechanical improvements, the venerable Model T Ford was lagging well behind the competition. After ceasing all auto production for nearly a year, Ford addressed the problem with the introduction of the all new, extremely stylish, dependable yet affordable Model A Ford. Handsome and up to date, it was an overnight sensation. Showrooms were swamped with eager customers and Ford, once again, became king of the hill, providing practical and attractive transportation for the masses. Produced from 1928 to 1931, it ruled the roads of post depression America for many years. Under the guidance of Edsel Ford, who brought great styling influences to the Ford corporation, the Model A reflects many styling cues of it's larger and more expensive big brother, the Lincoln.
